DAY 6 PARIS – EIFFEL TOWER AND SEINE RIVER CRUISE

Today, visit one of the most visited landmarks of Paris: The Eiffel Tower (we recommend booking tickets in advance). Use your Hop-on Hop-off bus ticket and stop at the magnificent tower. The Eiffel Tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel, a French engineer and architect along with his company. The tower was constructed for the 1889 Exposition Universelle (World’s Fair) held in Paris to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. It remains one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Afterwards, enjoy Paris with a cruise along the Seine River (included). The cruise pier is located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower on the river side “Port de Suffren”, very close to the stop #9. Embark for a relaxing cruise to explore Paris and its monuments from a different viewpoint. This evening, we recommend having dinner in the Latin Quarter. Explore the narrow streets filled with bistros and cafés, making sure to indulge in a traditional French onion soup!

DAY 7 PARIS – DAY AT LEISURE

Today we recommend a visit to the Louvre Museum. Make sure to beat the crowds and get an early start! Prioritize must-see artworks like the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, allocating at least 3 hours for your visit. Afterwards, visit the Tuileries Garden by exiting the Louvre and stroll right through the gardens. Perhaps enjoy a light lunch at one of the cafés? Alternatively, you may want to visit the Musée d’Orsay: Cross the Seine to visit the Musée d’Orsay, housed in a former railway station. Marvel at Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Van Gogh, and Renoir. In the evening, choose from the myriads of dining options in the area or venture to nearby neighborhoods for diverse culinary experiences. Why not savouring a lovely lamb shank navarin? Enjoy!

DAY 8 PARIS – DAY AT LEISURE

After your amazing breakfast, reserve your time for two main historical attractions: Montmartre and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Both locations are central to Parisian history. Montmartre has been home to countless artists like Picasso and Van Gogh and Notre-Dame has been a key part of the city’s identity for centuries. Once in Montmartre, climb up to the basilica, Sacré-Coeur and be ready for a magnificent breathtaking view over Paris. The basilica’s exterior is made of travertine stone, which gives it its iconic white appearance. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful mosaics and stained-glass windows. Have lunch at Montmartre’s charming restaurants with a perfect chicken confit or a crêpe, soaking in the bohemian atmosphere. Spend the afternoon visiting the Notre-Dame Cathedral, located on the Île de la Cité, an iconic Gothic masterpiece located right in the heart of Paris. Here you will have another enriching experience! Notre-Dame is one of the most famous cathedrals in the world, rich in history and architecture. Even though parts are under restoration due to the 2019 fire, its grandeur, stained glass windows, and views along the Seine River are still impressive. After, you could visit Le Marais District. Wander the medieval streets, visit boutique shops, and perhaps explore the Picasso Museum or the Musée Carnavalet. For bit of shopping, stroll along the Champs-Élysées, browsing luxury shops and landmarks. Make sure to end your day by sampling Parisian specialties like macarons and crème brûlée. Exploring local patisseries and cafés can be a delightful adventure!
