Set off for a full day of exploration in the heart of nature at Arví Park, a vast ecological reserve and pre-Hispanic archaeological site located on the eastern slopes of the Aburrá Valley, just outside Medellín. You will reach the park by cable car, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views along the way. Once there, embark on a guided hike through the park’s ecological trails, where you will discover an incredible diversity of flora, from orchids and bromeliads to lush cloud forests and oak woodlands. Keep an eye out for the many bird species that inhabit this unique natural sanctuary. After this immersive nature experience, continue to Santa Elena, a charming colonial village known as the birthplace of the “Silleteros” tradition, deeply rooted in the region’s flower-growing heritage. You will visit a local flower farm to learn more about the iconic “silletas” and the cultural significance behind them. The day also includes a traditional lunch, giving you the opportunity to savor local flavors while connecting with the warm and welcoming people of the region.

Just 10 minutes from the vibrant heart of Medellín, you will arrive at Capilla del Rosario, a charming family-owned estate with over 120 years of history. Nestled among lush green hills covered with coffee plants and offering breathtaking panoramic views over the city, this farm perfectly blends tradition, sustainability, and natural beauty. During this immersive experience, you will discover the entire coffee-making process, from bean to cup. Your guided visit begins with a walk through the coffee fields, home to more than 26 varieties from around the world. You will then explore the plantation, nursery, and seedbeds, while learning about the different stages of coffee production, including harvesting, processing, and roasting. This is also an opportunity to understand how altitude, climate, and the expertise of local farmers influence the unique flavors of Colombian coffee, as well as to learn about the various processing methods such as washed, honey, and natural. The experience concludes with a professional coffee tasting, where you will sample some of the farm’s finest specialty coffees, paired with fresh fruit, all while enjoying spectacular views over the valley. After this sensory journey through aromas and flavors, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
