This itinerary is flexible and can be modified to substitute the night in Tangier by an extra one in Chefchaouen for a similar price.
The tour is executed in a comfortable minivan with a local bilingual driver. Official local guides will join the group for certain visits and attractions mentioned in the inclusions.

DAY 1 CASABLANCA - MARRAKESH 245 KM
Arrival at Casablanca airport. Meet your driver guide, then (photo stop) visit of Casablanca, the White City, including a stop to Hassan II Mosque exterior. Time for lunch on your own and then departure to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2 MARRAKESH
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is dedicated to the discovery of the Red imperial city “Marrakech la Rouge” with a local guide. We will visit the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace. The visit will continue with the Medersa Ben Youssef and the Menara Gardens. Free time for lunch (not included). Continuation towards the famous square, Jema El Fna, and a walk through the various souks (markets) to see all kinds of wonders for sale. Return to the hotel to get ready for a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by a show (included).

DAY 3 MARRAKESH - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE 197 KM
After breakfast, depart to Ouarzazate, through the High Atlas mountains, passing by Tizin Tichka (2260 m). Photo stop at the Kasbah d’Ait Ben Haddou, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 4 OUARZAZATE - TINGHIR - TODRA GORGE - MERZOUGA 368 KM
After breakfast, depart to Merzouga and stop at the Kasbah of Taourit to take pictures. Continue towards Tineghir by crossing Skoura, Kelaa M’gouna (the City of Roses), Dades Valley and Todra Gorge with its cliffs of over 300 meters in height, and the discovery of Palmeraie de Jorf oasis. You will then head to Merzouga to the Nomad Camp in the Sahara on time to enjoy a camel ride during the beautiful sunset. Overnight at a desert camp in nomad tents.

DAY 5 MERZOUGA - MIDELT - FEZ 470 KM
After breakfast, departure to Merzouga. This entire day of travel will make you cross vast landscapes. Stop for lunch in Midelt (not included). Continuation towards Fes by crossing Ifrane and the High Atlas mountains.

DAY 6 FEZ
After breakfast at the hotel, the entire day is dedicated to Fez, Morocco’s holy city. You will visit its historical center including the Andalusian neighborhood, El Bali Palace, the Nejjarine fountain, Karaouine Mosque and Madrasa Bou Inania. Free time for lunch and continuation of the visit including the souks and the district of the leather tanners.

DAY 7 FEZ - MEKNES - CHEFCHAOUEN 265 KM
After breakfast, we travel in the direction of Chefchaouen, passing by Meknes, imperial city also called The Moroccan Versailles. Arrival in Volubilis, entrance included and visit on your own the roman ruins, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continuation towards the blue city, nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen with its compact medina washed in blue and topped with red tiled roofs, is quite simply one of the loveliest towns in the country. Free time to explore further.

DAY 8 CHEFCHAOUEN - TETOUAN - TANGIER 150 KM
After breakfast, en route for Tangier, via Tetouan. Upon arrival, enjoy a photographic (photo stop) tour of the city and Tangier Kasbah. Rest of the day at leisure to visit Tangier’s market.

DAY 9 TANGIER - RABAT - CASABLANCA 338 KM
After breakfast, depart for Rabat for a 2-hour guided visit of the capital of Morocco including the fortifications, the Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Royal Palace and Kasbah of Oudayas. Once the visit is over, departure to Casablanca.

INFORMATION REGARDING THE ACCOMMODATION
3 types of accommodation are offered according to your budget: Bronze category hotels (a combination of Moroccan basic 4* hotels and Riads comparable to a good Canadian 3*); Silver category hotels (a combination of good Moroccan 4* hotels and Riads comparable to Canadian 4*) OR Gold category hotels (a combination of good Moroccan 5* hotels and Riads comparable to Canadian superior 4*).
The stars attributed to hotels in Morocco are based on the North African standards. We consider one or two stars lower than the American or European standards. The hotels are safe, clean and well located, Riads are charming and special accommodation that are not rated. They are often located inside the medina (old historic center) and a short walk through the pedestrian streets can be required to get to the Riad. Similar hotels can come back confirmed. The official list of accommodation will be remitted along with the travel documents, 3 weeks prior to departure.
