DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN BOGOTÁ

Arrival at Bogotá International Airport. You will be welcomed by your bilingual English/Spanish-speaking guide and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Your hotel is located in the Zona Rosa, one of Bogotá’s most attractive neighborhoods. Just a few steps from the Andino, El Retiro, and Atlantis shopping centers, enjoy your free time to discover the many boutiques, restaurants, and bars in the area, and immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife of the Colombian capital.

DAY 2 BOGOTÁ - MARKETPLACE - TEJO GAME

This morning, set off for an authentic 4-hour visit to a local market. Colombia is renowned for the diversity of its climates, which allows for the production of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. You will be amazed by the richness of the stalls and the attractive prices. Discover also the great variety of flowers grown on the Bogotá Savannah and exported worldwide, as well as the local curiosities and traditions related to gastronomy, handicrafts, and other typical products. During the visit, you will taste some of Colombia’s iconic exotic fruits. In the afternoon, try your hand at a traditional Colombian game: Tejo! The game consists of throwing a metal disc at a clay board with small gunpowder packets placed on a metal ring. If the disc hits a packet, BOOM! it ignites and produces a small explosion. Enjoy this game, which is a unique part of Colombian heritage, in an atmosphere full of music, joy, and tradition. During your turns, take the opportunity to taste Colombia’s famous coffee or, for the more adventurous, local beers (one coffee and two beers are included during your visit).

DAY 3 BOGOTÁ - MEDELLÍN

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Medellín (not included). Upon arrival, a private transfer with a Spanish-speaking driver will take you to your hotel. This evening, embark on a nighttime exploration of Sabaneta, the smallest municipality in Colombia, and its famous Fondas. Once used as wholesale stores in the villages, the Fondas are now places to eat, drink, and enjoy live music, offering an excellent insight into typical Colombian culture. You will visit several Fondas around Sabaneta’s main park, each with a unique atmosphere. In some, equestrian shows are offered from Thursday to Saturday, providing an even more authentic experience.

DAY 4 MEDELLÍN - STREET FOOD TOUR

Today, embark on a 4-hour culinary tour around the Parque Principal de Envigado. A selection of local cafés will introduce you to the region’s traditional fried specialties. You will have the chance to taste empanadas, buñuelos, cheese bread (pan de queso), cassava bread (pan de yuca), seasonal fruits, and many other local treats. Tastings are included.

DAY 5 MEDELLÍN - CARTAGENA

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cartagena (not included). Upon arrival, a private transfer with a Spanish-speaking driver will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Located within the walled city, your hotel enjoys an ideal setting to explore this beautiful city at your own pace and take your first steps through its historic streets.

DAY 6 CARTAGENA - WALLED CITY, GETSEMANÍ - STREET FOOD

Today, enjoy a guided walk through the alleys of Cartagena’s old town, where every corner tells a story. Founded in 1533 by the Spanish conquistador Don Pedro de Heredia, the city quickly became the jewel of the Spanish Crown’s territories and remains today a destination rich in cultural and historical heritage. During your visit, soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the streets, where colonial architecture, art, commerce, and local gastronomy come together. You will also have the opportunity to taste the traditional Caribbean fried foods in places renowned for their seasonings.

DAY 7 DEPARTURE FROM CARTAGENA

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cartagena airport. From there, you may continue your journey independently or begin your return trip to Canada.
