DAY 1 BOLOGNA/ANCONA – GABICCE MARE
Arrival on your own at the hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is at leisure. This evening let’s get together with our fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at the hotel.

DAY 2 GABICCE MARE
Get to know Gabicce Mare, with its sandy beach, cafes and restaurants. If feeling energetic, perhaps take a walk up the hill to Gabicce Monte, to enjoy beautiful views over San Bartolo Natural Park and the rolling hills of the Marche countryside. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 3 FULL DAY EXCURSION TO RAVENNA
We’ll enjoy a full day excursion to Ravenna today, which is most famous for its extensive Christian and Byzantine mosaics with UNESCO world heritage status. We’ll savour a guided walking tour of this historic city and the last capital of the western Roman Empire, before having the afternoon at leisure for sightseeing and shopping of our choice. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 4 AT LEISURE OR OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO URBINO AND PESARO
Day at leisure in Gabbice Mare or join the optional excursion to Urbino and Pesaro (+$).

Optional Excursions : Alternatively, for those passengers who have pre-booked the optional full day excursion to Urbino and Pesaro, this will take place today. We will enjoy a visit to the walled hilltop village of Urbino, which was at the center of the Renaissance age and birthplace of the artist Raphael (entrance to Raphael’s House is included). Following free time for lunch (at your own expense), we will visit the coastal resort of Pesaro for a walking tour through its historic streets including via Rossini, name after the famous musician who was born here. Please note the optional excursion requires a minimum of participants.

DAY 5 FULL DAY EXCURSION TO BOLOGNA
This morning, we’ll depart by coach to begin our full day excursion to Bologna, one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. We’ll begin our visit with a walking tour of the traditional food markets which the Emilia Romagna region of Italy is famous for, before enjoying some time at leisure. In the afternoon, we will join our guide for a walking tour around the historic centre where sights include Piazza Maggiore with Neptune’s fountain and St Petronio’s Basilica. We will transfer back to our hotel in the afternoon and stop in route to visit the Gelato Museum. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6 GABICCE MARE
We’ll have another free day to do as we wish, may this be relaxing in the hotel or doing a bit of shopping or some more sightseeing. Why not take a stroll on the beach or enjoy an al fresco lunch while looking out onto the Adriatic? As always, our expert guide will be happy to suggest local attractions and activities. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 FULL DAY EXCURSION TO SAN MARINO
Following breakfast, we’ll set off for an excursion to the Republic of San Marino, the oldest republic in the world! We’ll enjoy a guided walking tour as we discover hilly San Marino’s narrow, quirky streets, and historic sights before taking a cable car to the top of Mount Titano, which offers spectacular views of the countryside.

DAY 8 DEPARTURE
The time has come to say “arrivederci” to wonderful Italy. After breakfast, check out and transfer on your own to the airport for your flight home.
