Beautiful beaches, amazing wildlife, stunning landscapes, ocean adventures, cultural and culinary delights, the warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people.

THE CORDILLERAS

Described by some as ‘the Eighth Wonder of the World’ the spiny Cordilleras Central mountains lure those who like to get active in the fresh air, with wonderful hiking, biking, and caving locations.

BOHOL

Bohol is a paradise of lush landscapes, pristine beaches, and unforgettable experiences. From exploring the famous Chocolate Hills and wandering through quaint villages, to diving in vibrant coral reefs or cruising along the Loboc River, the island offers a wealth of adventures. Beyond its main attractions, Bohol also serves as a gateway to countless smaller islands, each promising its own slice of tropical wonder.

BORACAY

Despite its small size, two of Boracay’s beaches, White Beach and Yapak, were listed among TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Beaches in Asia in 2020. Boracay covers only 10km², including farming land and preserved forest. Its main White and Bulabog beaches are on opposite sides of the island’s central area, the narrowest point of which measures just 1km. Once well-known as a party island, this is now a laidback getaway destination perfect for everyone from couples to families.

PALAWAN

The Philippines last ecological frontier with plant and wildlife biodiversity this stunning archipelago-province regularly tops the travel lists for worlds best beaches and islands. Palawan’s best-known spots are El Nido and Coron with their spectacular dive sites. DAY 1 MANILA - CAUAYAN - BANAUE

Check-in at Manila airport for your flight to Cauayan, where a private vehicle will take you on a 3-hour journey to Banaue. En route, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Cross the southern gateway of Cagayan Valley, zigzagging across the Caraballo Range, and begin the climb to Banaue as you reach the Bagabag junction, where the road from Banaue meets the main valley highway leading northwest to Isabela. Halfway through is Lagawe, the capital town of Ifugao and home of the “People of the High Mountains.” Arrive in Banaue late in the afternoon. Dinner, then check-in and overnight stay.

Meals : Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation : Banaue for 1 night

2

DAY 2 BANAUE - SAGADA

Board a local jeepney to explore the breathtaking scenery and rich traditional culture of Banaue. Along the roadside near the local church, a 10-storey house perched on the mountain slopes demonstrates the Ifugaos’ remarkable engineering skills and adaptability. Nearby, observe a tilapia pond and fighting cocks being bred. Twists and turns along the main road lead to numerous rice terraces, with ample stops for photographs. Our first panoramic view of the terraces is best at Barangay Viewpoint, where a marker proclaims the Banaue Rice Terraces a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an international landmark of historic civil engineering. Believed to be over 2,000 years old, these terraces were painstakingly built by ancient tribesmen in an area almost devoid of level land. Using primitive tools, they carved shelves from the mountainsides, sealing the walls with clay. Each terrace is irrigated by a carefully designed system of water channels running from upper to lower paddies. When thick mist settles over the terraces, it evokes staircases reaching toward the sky, earning them the poetic name “Stairway to the Sky.” In the afternoon, continue to Sagada, with ample stops at scenic viewpoints along the highway to admire the rice terraces. Visit Bontoc Museum, founded by Belgian nuns, housing a fascinating collection of artifacts from the mountain tribes of the region. Arrive in Sagada in the evening, check-in at a local inn, and overnight.

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation : Sagada for 1 night

Leave your resort early in the morning for a full-day exploration of Bohol’s natural and cultural wonders. Your first stop is the Philippine Tarsier Foundation in Corella, a sanctuary for the world’s smallest primate, the tarsier. Observe these rare nocturnal creatures in their natural habitat, marveling at their agility as they leap from tree to tree and swivel their heads nearly 360 degrees. Next, proceed to Baclayon, with a brief stop at the historic Blood Compact Site, where Spain’s Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and local chieftain Datu Sikatuna sealed their friendship with a symbolic drink. In Baclayon, visit a centuries-old stone church that houses a museum displaying religious art, ecclesiastical vestments, and church music librettos inscribed in Latin on animal skins. Continue the journey passing through Bilar’s man-made forest, a dense stretch of towering mahogany trees lining the highway leading to the Chocolate Hills, Bohol’s geological marvel. From a distance, the hills resemble giant candy drops, changing color with the seasons and earning the name “chocolate” when the grasses turn deep brown in summer. Hike to the viewpoint for a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Finally, arrive at the Loboc River for a scenic cruise aboard a floating restaurant, where a delicious lunch is served on board, making the experience even more memorable.
